Angel Wing Buns
Ingredients:
100g/4oz Butter
100g/4oz sugar
2eggs
100g/4oz self raising flour
For the filling:
75g/3oz soft butter
150/6oz icing sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
Food colouring
Method:
Line a bun tray with bun cases
Preheat the oven to 190c/375f/gas4
Mix the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time adding a tablespoon of flour with each egg.
Sieve the rest of the flour into the bowl and mix well.
Using a teaspoon fill bun cases.
Bake for 20 - 25 mins until golden brown.
Allow to cool on wire rack.
Filling:
using a mixer soften the butter.
Mix half the icing sugar and beat until smooth.
add rest of icing sugar add tablespoon of milk.
Add food colouring .
If mix is too thick add another teaspoon of milk.
slice the top of each bun and cut in half.
Place buttercream on each bun .
Place halved slices on top of filling to form Angel wings.
